Our correspondent Richard Payne spent the day with Jayden Tomlinson-Parson during his time as "Cop for a Day"

Jayden Tomlinson-Parson desperately needs a heart transplant. Doctors said he might never make his fifth birthday.

He met PC Adge Secker at Midsomer Norton Carnival who promised to make his dream come on the day he turns five.

We followed Jayden's journey, the moment he became a cop for a day

Jayden and his grandmother Sandra Cray Tweeted their excitement last night, on the eve of his birthday:

Bath policeman Adge Secker Tweeted some of the things Jayden will be doing today.

It was truly a day to remember. Our reporter Richard Payne followed Jayden's progress for the day .
