The Northcott Theatre in Exeter celebrated it's 50th anniversary last night, 13 November with a gala performance from a host of stars.

In attendance was actor Robert Lindsay.

Famous for playing Wolfie in Citizen Smith, Lindsay started his career at the Northcott Theatre in 1970 - in a play where he had to say one line, in French.

The award-winning actor spoke to our ITV West Country reporter David Woodland about his break into the industry.
