ITV to broadcast the moment Becky Watts' killers were arrested
Footage of the moment when Bristol's most notorious killers are arrested is being broadcast for the first time - exclusively on ITV.
Avon and Somerset Police body cameras were filming when officers arrested killers Nathan Matthews and his girlfriend Shauna Hoare.
Matthews was later convicted of the murder of his stepsister Becky Watts. Hoare was found guilty of her manslaughter.
Becky Watts vanished from her home in the St George district of Bristol in February 2015.
Her dismembered body was discovered 12 days later in a garden shed.
The footage - to be shown as part of ITV's Crime and Punishment season - retraces the steps of the investigation and shows Matthews and Hoare's custody interviews in which they deny knowledge of Becky's whereabouts.
The pair were caught after Matthews' fingerprints with Becky's blood were found at her home.
A search of his house showed receipts for a circular saw which he used to dismember Becky after her death.
In an interview with ITV News West Country, the lead officer, Det Chief Insp Richard Ocone said:
"There are various trigger points in this case which will stay with me. One of them is the discovery of the receipts. The next one is Nathan's account in which he describes killing Becky."
