Bill to lower UK voting age to be read in Commons
The House of Commons is due to have a second reading of a Bill to reduce the UK voting age, tomorrow, 3 November.
It was introduced by Jim McMahon, Labour MP for Oldham West & Royton, and was first presented to Parliament on Wednesday 19 July 2017.
The Bill also mentions young people's education in citizenship and the constitution.
The Bill could pave the way for 1.5 million teenagers to cast a ballot in the next election or referendum.
