Thousands of cyclists have crossed muddy terrain and scaled steep hills as part of the annual Tour de Moor bike challenge.

The Dartmoor event took place this weekend in aid of St Luke’s.

The Tour attracted more than 1,000 cyclists who raced up to 52km to raise awareness and money for the charity that provides care for people dealing with life-limiting illnesses.

The charity says it was an eye-opening experience for many competitors.

St Luke's shared a video of the day's action on their Twitter page.
