Thief breaks into Devon shop through ceiling to steal valuable model trains

A couple who own a shop in Devon say they are devastated after a burglar broke in over the weekend and stole valuable model trains.

Susan and Richard Wilcox have had to watch CCTV footage of the four-hour break-in at Paignton Model Shop.

The thief worked his way in through the ceiling before carefully packaging the specialist Hornby items he took with him.

The Wilcoxs say it is too early to put a value on the damage caused to the shop.
