Man dies after hit and run in Dartmouth

A man has died following a hit and run on the A379 College Way between Coronation Park and Townstal Road in Dartmouth.

Emergency services were called just before 12.40am on Wednesday 27 September following the collision between a male pedestrian and a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian, a 27-year-old man, died from his injuries. His next of kin have been informed.

Road closures have been put in place both ways while officers from the Roads Policing Team carry out a forensic examination.
