Avon Fire Brigades Union criticises plans to move memorial to Portishead
Campaigners have criticised plans to move a memorial to fallen firefighters from Bristol city centre to Portishead.
It comes after the service moved its headquarters from Temple Back to share a base with Avon and Somerset Police.
They want to take the statue with them, but the Fire Brigades Union wants it to stay where more people can see it.
The Fire Brigades Union in Avon says the statue is an important memorial to firefighters who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
