The Countess of Wessex has visited Cornwall to formally open a new unit at a farm community run by a substance misuse treatment charity.

The new 8-bed Young People and Families unit is part of Bosence Farm in Hayle.

The charity say its new facility is the only one of its kind in the country.

Bosence Farm say it was "a huge honour" to be visited by a member of the Royal Family.

After the unveiling the Countess toured the existing facilities at the 26-year-old centre and spent time with staff, volunteers and service-users.
