Yeovil grandmother says she is 'angry' after Ryanair flight to Spain cancelled at last minute
A grandmother from Yeovil says she is angry and disappointed after her Ryanair flight to Spain was cancelled at the last minute.
Karen Willis and her family are among many people who say they've had their holidays ruined by the airline which has cancelled up to 50 flights a day.
A change in the airline's holiday rota meant a number of pilots were on leave at the same time.
The Willis family were unable to go on their holiday because of the lack of Ryanair pilots.
Mrs Willis says they received an email at Bristol Airport as they parked their car saying the flight was cancelled.
She says she was shocked the flight was cancelled just three hours before take off.
The Willis' had been bound for a holiday in Malaga.
275 other passengers were also unable to fly to the Spanish destination.
A further 280 people had their flight to Alicante cancelled.
The Willis' were told they could claim compensation from Ryanair for the outward flight but not the flight back because that was still available to them.
The family say they couldn't get a flight to Malaga in order to fly back.
The Willis' say their holiday insurance company claimed the family had started their holiday as they'd driven to the airport so weren't eligible for compensation.
Ryanair has published further details of cancelled flights on its website.
Affected flights in the next few days include Wednesday's service from Bristol Airport to Dublin.
