Thousands expected at Bristol anti-austerity rally
Thousands of people are expected to attend an anti-austerity rally in Bristol this weekend.
Mayor of Bristol Marvin Rees is backing the event at College Green.
Bristol City Council says it needs to make £104million savings over the next five years because of budget cuts from central government.
Mr Rees is due to visit Westminster next Tuesday with leaders from other city councils.
The Mayor will discuss the cuts with the Government and request more resources for Bristol.
The Mayor has enlisted the help of Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn to promote the event this Saturday.
The march begins at 12pm on Saturday.
