Police have named two brothers from Bristol who were swept into the sea while fishing off rocks in Cornwall as Charles Allen and Dr Robert Allen from Bristol.

21-year-old Charles Allen was found in the water and airlifted to Royal Cornwall Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile his 30-year-old brother, Dr Robert Allen, has not yet been found but the search for him has been called off.

Emergency services were called to the incident at Treyarnon Bay near Padstow at 3pm on 4 September and despite extensive searches by the Coastguard rescue teams, Padstow RNLI Lifeboat and police, Dr Robert Allen could not be found.

Anthony and Margaret Allen, Charles and Robert's parents, have paid tribute to their sons:

The brothers were on holiday with family in Cornwall when the incident happened and had been fishing many times before.

Their parents have thanked the emergency services for their efforts.
