Woman robbed of car at knifepoint in Weston-super-Mare

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed at knifepoint in Weston-super-Mare this morning, 25 August.

At about 8am, a 45-year-old woman was sat in a parked car in Montpelier when a man approached her and asked for directions.

He then pulled out a knife and demanded she hand over her purse, jewellery and her car - a silver Audi A3, with registration number FY05 OYZ.

The man is described as possibly in his 50s, white, of medium build, with blue eyes light coloured hair.

He was wearing a grey woolly hat, grey or light-coloured hooded top and was carrying a small bladed knife and a screwdriver.
