A radio enthusiast from Bristol helped save the life of a 12-year-old girl who was having an epileptic fit while on a camping trip.

Mike Everett heard the mayday call from 60 miles away, while he was scanning radio waves.

It turned out to be Jon, who was calling for help as May was having a seizure.

Mike was able to safely direct paramedics to a part of Exmoor, with no mobile phone reception, where the campers were.

May has since made a full recovery.
