Motorcyclist dies following road crash in Devon

A motorcyclist who was involved in a road crash in Bishopsteignton has died, Devon & Cornwall Police have confirmed.

The man, in his 20s from Teignmouth, had been airlifted to Derriford Hospital following the collision between his motorcycle and a van on A381 Newton road.

An ambulance was called to the scene at 9.30am this morning, 23 August.

Newton road remains closed while an investigation is carried out.

Road closures are also in place at Ware Barton and near Morrisons in Teignmouth and the road is expected to remain shut for some time.
