Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Jodie Kidd, in partnership with Sky, have launched a plastic whale to raise awareness on the issue of ocean health.

The whale has been touring the UK and was in Newquay, Cornwall on Thursday 17 August and visiting Instow in North Devon today.

After being unveiled in London, the plastic whale has been touring the UK for 15 days, visiting iconic beaches, including Newquay and Instow.

By 2050, it is predicted that there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.

The Plastic Whale

The whale is made of plastic recovered from UK oceans, beach cleans and local recycling plants.

It has been constructed by recycling experts and material management company Bywaters.
