35 years ago, Great Britain welcomed back tens of thousands of victorious soldiers from the Falklands war.

The nation played a key role with 126 aircraft and more than 1,400 personnel from Yeovilton deployed to the conflict.

The West Country region had 22 sailors losing their lives when the Devonport-based frigate HMS Ardent was attacked by Argentine forces.

Former Paratrooper, Dave Baker was one of 26,000 army personnel sent to fight in 1982.
