A father said his daughter would "light up any room" as he paid tribute to his "little princess" who died following a crash on the North Devon Link Road.

Thousands of pounds have been raised for the family of 9-year-old Keira Ball who died in hospital yesterday after a crash on Sunday.

Joe Ball, Keira's dad, says he has been left "heartbroken" that he won't be bringing his 9-year-old daughter home.

He says that it has left "a massive hole in their lives."

However, he did say that he would be thankful for the 9 years of "absolute pleasure" that Keira brought the family and everyone she met.

Keira's brother and mother are still in hospital after the crash on Sunday July 30, near West Buckland.

They are both having major operations and may be in hospital for some time to come.

On Sunday, Keira had been travelling in a car towards Barnstaple with her mother and brother when they were involved in a collision with a car driving in the opposite direction.

All three family members were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Keira sadly passed away on Tuesday afternoon.
