New Sherford design application rejected
An application to change the design of Devon's newest town away from the vision of the Prince of Wales has been rejected by Plymouth City Council.
Sherford is being built near Plymstock and will eventually be home to more than 12,000 people.
Developers wanted more freedom on design and layout.
Opponents said their changes would have turned it into a "typical suburbia" - so the Prince's vision stays on course for now.
Another meeting takes place next Wednesday.
