HTV presenter Richard Wyatt feared coming out as gay would ruin on-screen career

If you've enjoyed ITV News here in the West Country for many years you may remember Richard Wyatt.

He was on screen dating back to the 1970's.

This week - 50 years since the Sexual Offences Act lifted the ban on homosexuality - Richard has spoken about how he feared his career would be over if he publicly revealed he was gay.

He told Kylie Pentelow exactly what made him what to speak about this now:

When asked how it made him feel to publicly come out, Richard said it was 'liberating'.
