Plans for Royal Clarence Hotel restoration revealed
Plans for how the front of the hotel, destroyed by fire last year, will go on show this week.
The Royal Clarence was devastated in October 2016 and after months of deconstruction work the initial plans for the building's external facade have have been revealed.
The designs will be displayed at St Martins Church in Cathedral Close between 2 - 8pm on Wednesday 26 July, open to the public and with feedback forms available for those who want to take a look.
The images show the front of the hotel restored, with the design as similar to the original as possible. According to those working on the project, efforts have been made to preserve period features including iron work and stained glass windows.
Plans for the interior of the hotel are being designed at the moment and the rebuild is expected to take around 18 months, with the hotel re-opening scheduled for 2019.
