Coverack recovery operation begins after 'torrential' flood

It is the morning after the night before in Coverack, where the trail of destruction left by severe flash flooding is being uncovered.

Roads badly damaged, debris across the village's streets and an estimated 50 homes affected, the scale of impact of the heavy rain is only now being revealed.

Firefighters are up early, prepared for a day of clearing the area and making it safe for local residents, after a major incident was declared on Tuesday evening.

The B3294 remains closed on Wednesday morning following the storm.
