There has been major disruption at Bristol Temple Meads station today, with passengers facing delayed and cancelled trains.

A signalling issue caused by a power failure near the station created significant delays between 8am and midday.

Great Western Railway has told ITV West Country that they were unable to run their trains out of Temple Meads until 1.30pm and allowed tickets to be accepted on local buses.

While all lines are open now, services will not return to normal until the end of the day according to National Rail.

The National Rail website states that "trains through the station may be amended, cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes while services return to normal."
