Former detective on Christopher Halliwell murder case releases memoirs
A former detective who led one of Wiltshire's largest murder investigations has released his memoirs of the case.
Steve Fulcher - who was on the team which discovered Christopher Halliwell was responsible for the murders of Becky Godden and Sian O'Callaghan - has put pen to paper.
In his book 'Catching a Serial Killer' Fulcher makes many claims about Christopher Halliwell, the investigation and aftermath.
1. Christopher Halliwell may have killed 60 women
Mr Fulcher makes this claim after 60 items of clothing were found buried near the pond at Ramsbury where Sian O'Callaghan's boots were found.
Wiltshire Police say the fabric was examined and there are no links to any missing people. Their enquiries continue.
2. Halliwell may have killed Linda Razzell
Mr Fulcher claims Linda Razzell's husband, Glyn, who has been convicted of her murder, was nowhere near her house when she vanished, that the forensic evidence was weak, based on her blood in his boot and witnesses say Linda was having an affair with Halliwell who worked on her house.
Wiltshire Police sources say Linda had an affair with another builder - not Halliwell. And that Glyn Razzell's case for review is so weak it has not been approved for appeal.
3. Halliwell may have killed Claudia Lawrence
Mr Fulcher claims someone came forward to say he'd seen Claudia Lawrence, from York, with Halliwell, and that she vanished on the two years to the day before Sian disappeared. He adds Halliwell's father lived in Yorkshire.
Wiltshire Police sources says Halliwell's father had lived in Huddersfield - nowhere near York - and he'd died years before Claudia vanished. They add they have proof he was buying fuel in Swindon on the night she vanished in York.
Joan, Claudia's mother, welcomes Mr Fulcher's claim saying: "I want it looked into and investigated.''
ITV West Country's Mark Longhurst spoke to Steve Fulcher about the claims in his book:
