An investigation is underway after a fire started at one of Rick Stein's flagship Cornish restaurants.

The blaze broke out in a bin store outbuilding at Stein's Porthleven eatery just after 4am on Monday morning. The cause of the fire is still being assessed but there is no damage to restaurant itself. A spokesperson told ITV News they hope to be open tomorrow as usual.

The celebrity chef has developed a chain of fish and chip shops and restaurants on the north Cornwall coast.

In a tweet from the restaurant's account, a spokesperson said that it was most important that no-one was hurt.

Crews from Helston, Tolvaddon and Mullion have been dealing with a fully-involved property fire, according to Cornwall Fire and Rescue.
