Hundreds turn out for triathlon in Bristol's historic Harbourside
Nearly 800 people are taking part in the Bristol Harbourside Triathlon this weekend - making it one of the city's biggest sporting events.
The gruelling challenge takes place around the historic Harbourside and Avon Gorge area, as people run, cycling and swim past some of Bristol's best known sites.
The triathlon organisers are the first ever to be given permission to swim in the Cumberland Basin:
The event is organised by TriBristol, part of the Bristol based triathlon club, BADTri (Bristol and District Triathletes).
It's one of the biggest clubs in the South West with more than 800 members.
Since it's not for profit, Sunday's event relies on volunteers to make it happen, something which organisers say lends a special atmosphere to the day:
