GE2017: The West Country losers - Plymouth

After seven years as the Plymouth, Sutton and Devonport MP Oliver Colvile has been booted out by Labour.

Last time round his majority was the smallest in the West Country at just 523 now Luke Pollard for Labour is 6,000 votes ahead.

Labour took the seat from the Conservatives with a big majority.

Mr Colvile was had been chairing Parliament's committee promoting improvements to the South West's railways, and had been asked by the Government to look after commemorations of the Mayflower 400 anniversary.

Having been an MP for seven years, and has advice for his successor.
