Did Tweets, Facebook posts and digital adverts help Labour pull in the young vote? What role will newspapers play in the next election? Do people pay attention to their online friends' political posts?

These are all questions that political analysts and indeed politicians are asking today as the result of the general election is dissected.

ITV West Country took to the streets of Bristol and Plymouth to ask voters how social media affected the way they voted.
