Fatal stabbing at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses
A murder investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death inside a place of worship.
Police found the body of a 55-year-old man at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Honiton.
They, and ambulance crews, were called there just after 3.30pm when concerns were raised for the welfare of a man.
The man had been stabbed a number of times and when emergency services arrived he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 55-year-old man was located nearby and has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He was taken into custody in Exeter to be interviewed.
A police cordon is in place but roads remain open, officers are expected to remain at the scene for the next 24 hours.
