Television presenter Jeff Stelling is currently in the West Country as part of an epic charity challenge which will see him walk 400 miles from St James Park, Exeter to St James' Park, Newcastle.

The Soccer Saturday star is attempting 15 walking marathons in 15 days - visiting more than 40 football clubs along the way - and hopes to raise £500,000 for Prostate Cancer UK.

The 62-year-old and fellow marchers set off from the home of the Grecians yesterday and visited Western League Premier Division's Willand Rovers FC, before arriving at Wellington FC, a league below their neighbour.

Jeff and his supporters left Weston-super-Mare’s Woodspring Stadium this morning to begin Day 2:

The 26-mile march will stop briefly at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate stadium, before finishing at the home of Bristol Rovers around 6.30pm.

  • More than 11,000 men die from prostate cancer in the UK each year.

  • It’s the most common cancer in men, with over 330,000 living with and after the disease in the UK.

  • Men over 50, black men and men with a family history of prostate cancer all face a higher than average risk of the disease.

On Sunday, Jeff and his team will be walking from Swindon Town's County Ground to the New Lawn, home of Forest Green Rovers.
