Police searching Bristol Harbourside for missing woman

Police in Bristol are continuing to search for a missing woman at the city's Harbourside.

She has tonight been named as Lily Fenton, 26, who was last seen in central Bristol yesterday night.

The police search began in the early hours of the morning and a police helicopter and fire and rescue crews were called in to offer assistance.

Police say their enquiries are still going on but they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

Police began searching the water around Canon's Way and Millennium Square at around 1.30am but did not make any discoveries.

They are now warning of an increase police presence at the Harbourside and of the possibility of assistance from a specialist dive team.

The incident is not linked to other incidents at the Harbourside and police have warned people not to speculate on the inquiry to avoid causing unnecessary alarm.
