Community rallies to raise thousands of pounds for family whose home was destroyed by fire
Fundraising for a family in Bath who lost all their belongings in a fire that devastated their home, as reached almost £5,000.
Within hours of the blaze which destroyed Jason and Michelle Drew's house in Twerton, neighbours were rallying to collect donations and money to enable the family to rebuild their lives.
A crowdfunding page set up to help the Drew's has already raised 90% of its five thousand pound target. The family's story is described on the website:
"Many of you that know and love Jason and Michelle Drew, and family, will want to give to help them to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the fire which burnt down their house, and we are sure that their story will spread beyond their immediate support network.

Many donators have left messages of support:
Avon and Fire and Rescue are investigating the cause of the serious fire on Shaw's Way. Seven fire crews and a turntable ladder were scrambled from Bath, Kingswood, Radstock, Temple and Corsham.
The house next the Drew's was also damaged and residents were advised to close doors and windows as crews tackled the fire.
