Twerton house fire: investigations begin into serious blaze
Investigations have begun into a serious fire which damaged two houses in Bath on Wednesday afternoon.
Residents of Shaw's Way in Twerton were advised to close doors and windows as crews tackled the fire throughout the afternoon and evening.
Seven fire engines and firefighters from Bath, Kingswood, Radstock, Temple and Corsham were deployed to contain the blaze.
Nobody was injured in the fire which affected the ground floor, first floor and roof of a semi-detached house, causing extensive damage.
Another nearby house was left with heavy smoke damage but all the occupants of both houses were accounted for.
Crews damped down and checked for hotspots yesterday evening before leaving the scene.
