A new Assistant Chief Constable has started work in Gloucestershire. Julian Moss has been appointed to the role of ACC, which means he has strategic control of all operational policing departments.

Married with three children, Julian has lived near Stroud for 14 years. He joined the police in 1992 and was a beat manager in Bristol and a neighbourhood inspector for Bath, before going on to become local policing commander for North Somerset. Later he had responsibility for local policing as temporary Assistant Chief Constable for Avon and Somerset Police.
