Blondie to play Cornwall gig for the first time in 18 years

Blondie have announced they will perform at this summer’s Eden Sessions in Cornwall.

The iconic band will play a show against the backdrop of the famous Biomes on 23 June.

They have just released their eleventh studio album Pollinator, featuring tracks written by Johnny Marr, Charli XCX and Sia. The band are best known however, for their hits Heart of Glass, Atomic, The Tide is High and Maria.

The American act has sold more than 40 million albums and follows in the footsteps of Lionel Richie, Tom Jones and Manic Street Preachers in gracing the Eden Project stage.

Blondie last played in Cornwall in 1999 at the Cornwall Coliseum in St. Austell. Their Eden Session is one of only two shows they will play in the UK this summer.
