The West votes: choosing a Metro Mayor

Tomorrow voters in South Gloucestershire, Bristol, and Bath and North East Somerset will head to the polls to decide on the first West of England Metro Mayor.

It is one of six new positions across England and is part of the Government's plans to devolve powers.

Our Political Correspondent David Wood has been meeting candidates and has looked at what the winner will actually do.

The mayor will also have new powers from the UK Government to deal with transport and promote skilled jobs.

David takes a look at their plan for housing.

One of the big issues facing the new Mayor will be traffic congestion. Each candidate has different ideas on how it should be tackled, as our political correspondent David Wood found out.
