Crowds have been enjoying the first glimpses of a new arrival at Bristol Zoo.

The infant Western lowland gorilla was born to mum Touni and dad Jock in the early hours of Saturday morning.

First-time mother Touni is settling in well to motherhood according to keepers.

The baby, which is yet to be sexed and named, is also doing well according Sarah Gedman, Team Leader Large Mammals, who say the infant is "clinging on tightly and suckling regularly" which are both good signs.
