New whisky distillery on Dartmoor given the go ahead

Whisky makers have been given the go-ahead for a new distillery on Dartmoor.

Princetown Distillers are planning to build the largest distillery outside Scotland there.

The Dartmoor National Park Authority have approved plans for a new distillery, with a visitor centre and car park on the edge of Princetown.

The distillery would employ 22 people and is hoping to attract around twenty thousand visitors each year

Dartmoor Brewery already has a spot in the town and said both industries should compliment each other.
