Devon jockey Lizzie Kelly triumphs at Aintree
Devon's Lizzie Kelly has won the stand-out race on the first day of the Grand National meeting at Aintree.
She helped guide Tea For Two to victory in the Betway Bowl this afternoon.
They outran last year's winner Cue Card who is trained on the Somerset/Dorset border.
Last month Kelly, who's from South Molton, became the first female jockey to race in the Cheltenham Gold Cup since 1984 but was unseated at the first fence. It left her deeply upset but today brought Kelly her second Grade One win.
Tea for Two was placed 10-1 in the Aintree Bowl but pulled alongside the favourite, Cue Card with three fences to go. Kelly held on for the pair to win by a neck. She said she didn't think she'd be too popular for beating the nation's favourite horse.
