Dozens of chickens dumped on busy road

Almost 50 dead chickens have been dumped at the side of one of the busiest roads in Devon.

The birds, many of which were still covered in feathers, were discovered in a lay-by on the A30 near Ottery St Mary.

The Environment Agency have confirmed that there are no concerns over avian flu in relation to the chickens.

East Devon District Council have launched a social media campaign to try and track down the culprits:
