A neighbour made 'brave atempts' to pull a woman from a house fire in Wadebridge

An elderly woman has died in hospital after being rescued from a house fire in Wadebridge yesterday. She was taken to a severe burns unit.

Her neighbour was also taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation after making 'brave' attempts to rescue her. He became aware of the fire after hearing her smoke alarm.

Crews from Wadebridge, Padstow and Bodmin attended the incident
