It has been 3 years since hairdresser Hollie Gazzard was murdered by her ex-boyfriend in Gloucester.

20-year-old Hollie was stabbed to death in the hairdressing salon where she worked.

The attack was carried out Asher Maslin who was jailed for a minimum of 18 years.

Since then, her father Nick has devoted his life to trying to help victims of domestic violence and stalking.

Speaking to our presenter Kylie Pentelow, Nick recalled the kind of person Hollie was. He said, "Hollie was the kind of individual who was liked by everybody that we knew . She was vivacious, she was outgoing and social."

He said the thought of telling his wife, Mandy, and daughter, Chloe, that Hollie had been killed was terrifying and not something he knew how to do.

When recalling the horrifying moments surrounding Hollie's death, Nick said there were two things he found difficult. The first was telling the family, the second was identifying Hollie's body.

Now all that is left is memories and photographs. Hollie often photographed her beloved dog Kai. Nick says Kai is a living link between the family and Hollie.

Devoting the last 3 years to the Hollie Gazzard Trust, Nick is now turning his focus to stalking and how to help victims in Gloucestershire.

He said that stalking "steals lives and it can end lives quickly."

"There is a massive fear factor for victims of stalking, so we want to try and help people who are being stalked."

Nick recalls that "one of the frustrations I have is that, if I knew then what I know now, I firmly believe that I could have saved her life, because I would have picked up on all the signs"

He says what drives him to help others is not wanting people to go through what he and his family have endured
