Happy 40th Birthday Morph!

It's a special birthday today for one of Bristol's favourite animated creations.

Morph may look as young as ever but he is now 40 years old.

He was one of Aardmans' first successes and the little man made out of clay transformed kids TV.

It was in 1977 when Morph first started creating mischief in our living rooms.

The groundbreaking animation combined with his funny antics helped him claim his place as a family favourite.

Even after he retired Morph was never far from our hearts.

In 2013 a crowdfunding campaign raised tens of thousands of pounds for his comeback. The following year saw him brought all up to date with his own YouTube channel.

He was co-created by Peter Lord who told us of all his creations at Aardman Animations - Morph was probably his favourite.

They say life begins at 40 and that seems true for Morph.
