A seven year old boy was rushed to hospital after falling from the harbour wall in Padstow on Sunday.

Emergency services were called after the boy fell several feet - coastguards, paramedics and a rescue boat all attended.

A first responder had already begun first aid when Padstow coastguard arrived to help.

Their Facebook post read:

"Team requested by Falmouth Coastguard after a 7 year old male fell from the harbour wall onto the foreshore. Upon arrival a First Responder had already begun administering first aid so the crew proceeded to assist. Two off duty paramedics also arrived on scene in a rescue boat from Lusty Glaze surf rescue school as they had been training in the estuary. After a short while the casualty was placed in a vacuum splint and carried a short distance to a land ambulance that had just arrived. Great multi agency team work once more."

Two off-duty paramedics also arrived on scene in a rescue boat from Lusty Glaze Surf Lifesaving Club as they had been training in the estuary.

The boy's condition is not yet known.
