A team of two dentists from Devon have crossed the finish line on what's known as the world's toughest row.

Trading their instruments for oars, Justin Marney and Azud Irshad completed the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in 51 days, 11 hours and 35 minutes.

The pair were raising money for Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay, Devon, who cared for Justin’s elderly father.

"Fresh Dental Challenge" burnt around 8,000 calories a day and lost approximately 20% of their body weight over the duration of the race, which started on 14th December 2016, from La Gomera in the Canary Islands.

They endured tropical storms, sleep deprivation, sweltering heat and the psychological stresses of living and working in such an unpredictable environment.
