Police appeal after Swindon hit-and-run
Wiltshire Police are appealing for information to help identify a car which failed to stop after hitting a cyclist in Swindon.
Just before 4.30am on January 25, a man was cycling along Chapel Street, Gorse Hill, towards Cirencester Way, when a car - believed to be a Vauxhall Corsa - pulled out of Buller Street hitting the cyclist.
The driver did not stop and drove off in the opposite direction (towards Cricklade Road) switching their lights off in the process.
This CCTV Footage from Wiltshire Police shows the crash take place:
PC Jack Newman said: "Luckily the cyclist was un-hurt, but this could have ended differently, the male cyclist could have been seriously hurt or even killed.
The police would like to speak to anyone who may have heard or seen the event take place.
