Changes to Cornwall beach dog ban

Plans to relax the current restrictions for dog walkers in Cornwall have been announced.

Between Easter Sunday and September 30th dog owners are prevented from exercising their animals on the majority of Cornwall's beaches, with the bans in place from 7am to 7pm.

But now Government legislation that restricts dogs from public spaces has been changed.

Cornwall Council is recommending that dog bans on all Cornish beaches are aligned, with revised times of 9am until 6pm

They will also come into effect later, on May 1, and last until September 30.

This does not, however, apply to beaches that have a complete dog ban.
