Cheltenham Town manager Gary Johnson: 'we've got the quality now'
Gary Johnson believes the squad overhaul he's overseen in recent weeks will steer the club up the league Two table to safety.
Cheltenham have managed just two wins in their last 10 League Two outings, and just 5 all season, which has kept the Robins toiling in or around the relegation zone.
Since the January transfer window opened, however, Johnson has brought in 7 new players to boost the club's survival chances.
"I am encouraged by the new group. There's competition now and the players that we've brought in have looked like they can do a bit."
"We've got to make sure that we've got enough quality to get up the table and I'm pretty sure that we've got that."
"I've been around a little while and seen it all before. They look like a group that's got the commitment and confidence to put a string of results together."
Cheltenham are currently 22nd in League Two, just a point above the drop zone. They face a potentially pivotal fortnight with games against Crewe, just above them, and Newport and Notts County, two sides that sit immediately below.
"They'll be good tests for the players that we've got now."
