Bristol City's Lee Johnson: 'Don't worry about relegation'

Bristol City manager has sought to reassure club supporters and detractors.

Lee Johnson remains defiant about the severity of the situation facing him and his team.

City hover three points above the relegation zone after a record-equalling seven league defeats in a row and a total of ten losses in their last eleven Championship outings.

Yet Johnson has issued a bold and confident defence of that situation on the eve of an away trip to Nottingham Forest - who have the same points tally and sit immediately below the Robins in the table

The 35 year-old, who recently signed a three year contract extension and has so far added four January signings to his squad, continued:

"We've been on a bad run, there's no hiding from that. Stick will come flying and rightly so but at the end of the day we're all fighting for the same cause.

You stay calm because you know you're doing the right things... If you break down the performances, statistically you would see that the margins are so small that we're not far off from turning this run."
