School closes after suspected arson attack

A primary school in Wiltshire has closed after a suspected arson attack destroyed one of its teaching buildings.

Emergency crews were called to The Avenue School in Warminster at 3.20am this morning.

The damage is estimated at several thousand pounds.

A 34 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson, and police are continuing to investigate.
